I'm a Christian woman in her mid-40s, catholic in belief and Anglican in practice. Currently, I live in Rogers Park, Chicago, with a friend and her cat; we both attend the same parish and joke that we are modern beguines and the smallest intentional community in the city. This year, I left what I hope will be my last full-time job to live a more well-rounded life where I can balance earning an income as a freelance consultant with service in my church and hospitality in my home. My favorite way to spend free time is in lively conversations with friends at home or out somewhere. When left to my own devices, you'll find me at a local brewery with a nonfiction book or perhaps at a community sing, folk dance, or street festival.

Despite having a computer in my home while in elementary school, being elected as an officer in my high school computer club, nearly minoring in computer science, and working in tech for almost 2 decades, I've never really felt the need for a personal website. This ambivalence for technology runs deep: I tend to not be fearful about new trends and can easily lose myself for hours in building if I have a clear goal, but I lack the level of all-out nerdy enthusiasm for machines and algorithms that many of my peers have. Instead, my mind tends to gravitate towards how people understand and use technology, both as individuals and within organizations and society. The more seriously I try to live out my Christian faith, the more philosophical and theoretical those ideas are becoming, and it's for that reason I now feel like it finally makes sense to have my own spot online where I can park some things and see who wants to take them for a test drive.

My favorite professional accomplishments all involve figuring out how to take existing processes, software, and teams and make them successful by getting all of theose elements to work together in harmony with reasonable measurement and strong leadership.
